To provide an academically stimulating and quality learning environment that fosters research, innovation and technology development in the information communication technology (ICT) field.Among the pioneer departments at the time of the award of DeKUT’s University Charter in December 2012, the Department of Information Technology has an established track record of offering accredited, high quality training programmes in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT), to meet the demands of a dynamic technology-based society.
The Department is backed by a highly trained and experienced staff team who bring together a broad range of expertise in various ICT specialities such as software engineering and programming, database management, networking and security, artificial intelligence among others. In addition, the Department boasts well equipped, modern computer laboratories and Internet services to support academic and research activities.
We offer programmes that a market-driven and that are regularly revised to keep in step with the state-of-art ICT knowledge and skills, ensuring that our graduates have the competencies to be problem solvers and job creators in our country and beyond.
